6th Annual
African American Prostate Cancer Disparity Summit
September 16th and 17th, 2010
United States Capitol and Washington Convention Center

The 2010 PHEN summit was hosted in the United States Capitol for the first day and the second day was in the Washington Convention Center as a part of the Congressional Black Caucus "Annual Legislative Conference" for the third consecutive year. This summit was hailed as "the best summit ever" by many of those that had attended all the summits. The focus of the summit was to connect the work in the research laboratories and biotech companies with the reality of the African American prostate cancer crisis at the grassroots level. Accordingly, the first day's sessions highlighted some of the groundbreaking treatments newly approved and under development. The second day program highlighted PHEN's partnership efforts and plans with churches to outreach to Black communities across the country.
