Franklin Park Golf Course, Boston, MA
The Prostate Health Education Network (PHEN) will host its Eleventh Annual "Tee Off to Fight Prostate Cancer" at the William J. Devine Golf Course on Wednesday, June 25th, 2014 (1 Circuit Dr., Dorchester, MA 02121). This Greater Boston community event is also a fundraiser that serves as one of PHEN's initiatives to raise education and awareness around combating prostate cancer.
During the golf tournament, PHEN and its partner, the Dana Farber Cancer Institute, will offer free prostate screenings open to the public. Also included in the day's activities are a raffle, followed by an awards ceremony and barbeque luncheon for participants. Proceeds from the raffle have largely contributed to PHEN's fundraising total.
In past years, PHEN has been honored to have politicians and clergy tee off, including Boston Mayor Thomas M. Menino, Boston City Councilor Charles Yancey, Boston City Councilor At - Large Ayanna Pressley and Bishop John M. Borders, III of Morning Star Baptist Church.
Individual players, teams, hole sponsors, and tournament sponsors are invited to register and participate in the golf tournament.
Registration and Donations links will soon be available.
